What counts toward your storage

Full means full. Not gone.

Five rules that apply to every plan – Free included.

  • Files, versions and the trashYour files, their earlier versions and items in the trash all use storage. A file that appears in several versions or folders is counted once.
  • A full cloud blocks growth, not your filesWhen storage is full, new uploads and changes that need more space wait. You can still open, download and delete files. pipeit does not delete files to make room.
  • A smaller plan deletes nothingMoving to a smaller plan does not delete files and does not shorten a retention period that already applies.
  • How long versions are keptPersonal plans keep earlier versions and the trash for 30 days, Business workspaces for 90 days. After that they can no longer be restored.
  • Direct transfers are separateFiles you send directly are not stored in your cloud and do not use cloud storage.
