Visiting this website
This website is delivered as static pages. When you open a page, the web server processes technical connection data such as your IP address, the requested address, the time and your browser identification in order to deliver the page and keep the service secure.
No tracking, no advertising
This website does not use analytics, advertising networks or social media plugins. Fonts, scripts and images are served from this website itself, so your browser does not contact third-party servers when you read a page.
Cookies and local storage
This website sets no cookies. Your display choices — light or dark appearance, language and accessibility settings — are stored in your browser’s local storage on your device. They are not transmitted to us and you can remove them at any time in your browser settings. On your first visit the website reads your browser’s language setting once to show German or English.
Links to apps and other services
Downloads, app stores and the pipeit web app are separate services with their own privacy information. Data is only transmitted to them when you follow such a link.
Getting in touch
If you contact us, we process the details you send in order to answer your request. Please do not send confidential files or credentials.
Launch waitlist
If you sign up for the start, we store your email address, your language (German or English), optionally the devices you named, and the time of your sign-up and of your confirmation. First we send you an email with a confirmation link. Only after your click is your address on the list (double opt-in); unconfirmed sign-ups are deleted after 14 days. The sole purpose is to tell you once pipeit starts for your device. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). The data is stored on servers in the EU, is not passed on to third parties, and the emails contain no tracking. We delete your data once the launch note has been sent, or earlier if you withdraw your consent: every email contains an unsubscribe link, and a message to the address above is enough.
pipeit apps and pipeit Cloud
This notice covers this website. The pipeit apps, the web app and pipeit Cloud process the data needed to use them: your email address and sign-in codes, your devices and sessions, the files you keep in the cloud with their names, versions, search index and thumbnails, shared links including the malware scan of shared files, payments through our payment provider Stripe, and support emails.
