pipeit for Linux
Even prod-web-01 is just a destination.
A Linux server does not have to be a special case. An authorized agent receives files in the intended place, without every sender needing to know an IP address or path.
A name instead of an IP address and a path.
Senders choose prod-web-01. Where the file lands on the server is defined by the agent, not by the sender.
Desktop or server. One clear destination.
Named receiving destinations
Give a destination a meaningful name. The agent manages the actual receiving directory.
For people and automation
The app and the CLI use the same destinations and permissions – from the terminal, scripts and CI pipelines.
Receiving is not executing
Incoming files are never executed. They stay files, not programs or deployment commands.
Nearby and on the same network
Linux desktops send nearby over Wi-Fi Aware or LAN without internet. Servers receive over LAN and the internet.
Or by link
For anyone without pipeit: upload, share the link, done. With expiry date, one-time code and malware scan. Recipients need neither an account nor an app.
Builds from Codex and Claude
Codex and Claude Code place builds and results on prod-web-01 through pipeit. You see what goes where and confirm.
The details can be technical. Getting started should not be.
Install the agent, sign it in, name the destination. The guides walk you through – for the agent and for the CLI on Linux, macOS and Windows.
